Weapon types

Weapons in Fields of Mistria fall into three main categories: swords, daggers, and hammers. Each type has a different attack pattern and feel.

• Swords are the all-around choice. They offer a balanced mix of speed, reach, and damage, with a wide swing that can hit multiple enemies.

• Daggers are fast and nimble. They deal low damage per hit but strike quickly, making them great for chipping away at enemies or dealing with fast, weak foes.

• Hammers are slow but powerful. They hit hard, have a long reach, and can knock enemies back, giving you breathing room in tight spots.

Your starting weapon is the Rusty Sword. It is weak, but it will get you through the first few caves until you can craft better tools.

Weapon list by tier

Most weapons are crafted at the blacksmith using ores you mine. As you progress, you will unlock new tiers from bronze to iron and beyond. Here are the known weapons so far:

Bronze tier

• Bronze Sword - A solid upgrade from the Rusty Sword. Offers a noticeable boost in attack and a slightly longer swing.

• Bronze Dagger - Fast and light. Useful if you prefer quick strikes over heavy hits.

• Bronze Hammer - Slow but strong. The knockback effect can help you control crowds.

Iron tier

• Iron Sword - The go-to weapon for mid-game exploration. Good damage and reach.

• Iron Dagger - A faster alternative with an improved critical hit rate.

• Iron Hammer - Hits like a truck. Perfect for breaking rocks and smashing tougher enemies.

Silver tier

• Silver Sword - High damage with a clean arc. You will feel the difference against tougher mine monsters.

• Silver Dagger - Excellent speed and critical potential. A favorite for players who rely on dodge and stab tactics.

• Silver Hammer - Devastating power with strong knockback. Use it on enemies that flinch easily.

There are also a few unique weapons found in treasure chests or earned from quests. These often have special traits, such as elemental damage or faster swing speed. Keep an eye out for them as you explore.

Upgrading your weapons

Most weapons can be upgraded at the blacksmith using ore and gold. Upgrades increase base damage and sometimes improve secondary stats like critical hit chance or knockback force. It is worth investing in your favorite weapon early, since repair costs for high-tier gear can add up.
